DeLorean is sired by the 1993 black Hanoverian stallion, De Niro. De Niro's sire, Donnerhall, is probably the most successful dressage stallion in the world. De Niro came in 2nd in his stallion performance test with a score of 141.93. He was top in the dressage portion of the test (Score: 145.41) and one of the best jumping stallions (Score: 117.75). He completed successfully at Grand Prix. As a 9 year old, De Niro, already has sired 19 licensed sons. His impressive performance and breeding abilities make him one of the best warmblood stallions in the world.
DeLorean's dam Elite Mare What A Girl (aka "Gigi") was imported from Germany in October 2002. "Gigi" is by Wolkentanz by Weltmeyer one of the greatest dressage sires of all time. Gigi has extraordinary movement with an incredible free shoulder that allows her to float over the ground.
DeLorean HPF is Elite Eligible and pending the successful completion of her performance test she will be fully awarded Elite Mare status. DeLorean has produced a lovely filly in 2007 by Londonderry.
